Michael R. Clarke is an accomplished independent board director and executive leader specializing in human capital management, risk mitigation, and ethical decision-making. With over 20 years of experience in employment law and ethics & compliance assurance within the healthcare and life sciences industries, he has implemented programs that enhance corporate culture, internal controls, and diversity in talent management. Earlier in his career, he practiced law as a litigation partner at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and served as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender in New Jersey. An active member of professional organizations, Mr. Clarke has held leadership roles in the ABA’s Business Law Section and the Global Business Conduct Council of The Conference Board.
A frequent speaker and educator, Mr. Clarke has presented at numerous industry conferences and lectures at Seton Hall Law School. He serves on boards including Sumner Global and the Briarcliff Owners cooperative, contributing to best practices in governance and compliance. A graduate of Brown University and Cornell Law School, he is also a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional and holds a Director Certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors. Mr. Clarke resides in northern New Jersey and southwest Florida with his wife, Pamela, and is the proud father of two adult sons.
